Tuesday, February 12, 2013 3 Comments

Do you have a little one?  Are they stressing about what to wear on Valentine’s day?

You can ease their minds, I’m here to hook ya up!

This simple & easy craft will have your little one’s heart going pitter patter with some beautiful kiddo-made Valentine jewelry ;)

You can’t go wrong with this last minute, super-cute necklace & bracelet set.

Here’s what you will need to make this bracelet & necklace like we made:

  • silver plastic lacing
  • red heart buttons
  • pink, red, and purple transparent & pearlized pony beads
  • scissors

Now, here’s the hidden, super-trick secret to this – the buttons!  shhhh ;)

If you start & finish the bracelet with a button, it will act like a seal & close off the ends to prevent the pony beads from sliding off.

And since V just started using scissors, she was able to cut the lace herself.

Therefore, the only mama part of this kiddo-made jewelry experience is the tying of a simple knot when they are finished.

Wahoo!!!  The best kind of activity – something the kiddos can do on their own.  They can develop their own independence & creativity while fostering quiet time.
