learning monkeys: Fruit Match Up Games

Monday, July 28, 2014 7 Comments

Fruit Match Up Games | @mamamissblog #freeprintable #homeschool #counting #preschool

So, you loved the {free printable} numbered fruit flash cards the other day?!  I bet you are wondering if it can get any fruitier?!

It can –  I have for you three more little activities for your little one!  All with fruit!!

Some Fruit Match Up Games!

>> Let’s Play!

You can use the game board & word circles >> cut out the word circle pieces & match to the corresponding fruits on the Game Board.

You can use the game board & color circles >> cut out the color circle pieces & match to the corresponding fruit colors on the Game Board.

Or there is the fruit match >> cut out all 20 squares, mix them up, turn them over face down and find the matching pairs.  Like memory!

The Fruit Match Up Games…

  • are best printed out on cardstock.
  • hold up longer when laminated (clear contact paper works just as well), to stand the test of kiddo time.
  • instead of cutting out the circles – punch them out with a 2” circle punch.

These sound pretty fun. I don’t have any cardstock but I will have to get some and try this.

I really want to download the fruit cards but I am having difficulty finding where to do it. I just see that you can pin the picture when I put the cursor over it. This would be perfect for my kindergarten ESL students.

Thanks so much! I didn’t even see that. I think it was the font difference.

Awesome!! Thanks for the input – I may just have to add a border to it to make it stand out more :) Enjoy! xx

Thank you. This is great for color matching and also naming the fruit.

Yesterday, V & her friend volunteered at our local animal shelter to braid beds for the shelter cats. They then took turns reading to one of the cats, a cat who was having trouble eating that the shelter was hoping the interaction would coax him up & about.

I love that my kiddos have reached that middle school age where they can volunteer more easily without much parental help. Our local animal shelter allows kiddos to volunteer (with a parent there) at age 10. It’s really rad to see them come into their own with understanding on how to have an active role in participating and volunteering in their community, and what a reward it is to give 🤩

🌟Potential. YESSSSS 🙌🏻 I really like this quote 🌟

🧐🔍Seeing the positive first is a great mantra to have when we tend to automatically gravitate towards things that are negative.

🪄Here’s to a bright 2021 and a purposeful positive outlook. 🎉

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!🌟🌟🌟 🤗 How did you HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!🌟🌟🌟

🤗 How did you celebrate the arrival of 2021?

🎲We played board games all night (cough cough surprise surprise 🤣) while munching on this charcuterie board.

🥳I surprised Eric & the kids by going all fancy for dinner last night. I wasn’t sure the kids would like the goat cheese (my favorite with fig spread 🤤) so I added some basic cheddar. But they LOVED it - I spread a little on one of the plain crackers with fig spread on top. So good!

🍈Fig spread, goat cheese, & 2 large crackers is from @wholefoods
🍇Grapes are from @costco (they have the best grapes!)
🪴Rosemary springs are from our garden.

Eeeeeep I’m so excited for my happy mail today!! Eeeeeep I’m so excited for my happy mail today!!🤗 (now if all my other mail I’m waiting on would arrive 🧐😩)

🦀🐙🐡I backed Open Ocean from @featherstonegames on @kickstarter this summer. It’s so incredibly neat to see a game come together from start to finish.

🐠🐟🐬This game is beautiful I can’t wait to sit to play with the kids as they become budding marine biologists.

He’s a little bit funky... a little bit rock n r He’s a little bit funky... a little bit rock n roll. - I’m kinda loving him though, my little abstract tree.🎄

🧵Right before my dad passed last year, during my last visit with him, he gave me this giant bag of these vintage-y wooden spools knowing that I’d use them in my art classes or some other creative way.

🧐As I was lesson planning this weekend the idea came to me when I peeked them in my wood craftin’ drawer - CHRISTMAS TREE!!

✂️I also have a simpler idea in mind with no wire bending/cutting to try it in my art classes as a kinda ‘extra’ project for early finishers. Stay tuned!

Happy Thanksgiving 🍁🦃🍽 I’m grateful th Happy Thanksgiving 🍁🦃🍽
I’m grateful this Thanksgiving for my Dad ❤️

📖📖📖When he was alive I’m not sure I appreciated this book as much, but now that he’s gone it’s made me appreciate him even more that he took the time to catalog all our family recipes into two cookbooks for us to have.

🦃🍁🍂This Thanksgiving without my mom joining us (she’s with friends this year) I was without her traditional treats like my favorite Pumpkin Cheesecake.

💪🏻So I attempted that (my first cheesecake EVER!) and Tussies (mini pecan pies) from scratch using my families recipes. I’m so excited to dig in today and the whole time making them made me feel extremely #grateful for my Dad & all he did for his family. 💕
