learning monkeys: Fall Leaves Matching Game

Friday, October 5, 2012 13 Comments

I have for you today a quick little printable for your monkeys!

With this game, your little one can practice their matching, their colors, their shapes, as well as counting.

Start by printing out the free printables below, click on each image for the corresponding printable.

{There are 2 printables – the first sheet is a game board, and the second sheet are the pieces to cut out}

Once printed, laminate them (they will hold up longer this way), then cut out the pieces.

Have your child match the shapes, colors, and leaves.

Here are a few other things V & I worked on too :)

  • Ask your child how many squares/circles, there are.
  • Ask your child how many shapes there are in total.
  • Ask your child to tell you the colors of the leaves.
  • Bring the game board outside & try to find leaves that are similar shapes & then match them up.
  • Count the points on each leaf.
  • Have them practice cutting out the shapes themselves.

I would love to add more ways to learn!

How many more things can you come up with?
